While visiting the park, be sure to take some time to relax aboard one of our scenic boat tours. With 4 vessels operating in the park, there is ample opportunity to enjoy the canal from the vantage of the water.
While taking in the sights, enjoy informative dissertations of life along the canal. Feel free to ask questions and share knowledge of the Erie Canal.
HISTORIC CANAL BOAT CRUISES take place as you climb aboard one of our four excursion boats. The Ontario (replica of a vintage boat), the Otisco (representing a canal packet boat), the Camillus Erie and the Iroquiois (our pontoon boats). Boat rides are entertaining, as well as educational with music and historic narration available. These trips are approximately 2 miles (45 minutes) round trip with an optional short walk to the historic Nine Mile Creek Aqueduct. The 1844 Nine Mile Creek aqueduct reconstruction is now completed. We are able to accommodate wheelchairs, as well.
